Our Society honored the 700th anniversary (2020) of the Arbroath Declaration in 2021. See the page about Scottish history for additional information. Due to 2020 being marked by a pandemic, the celebration was delayed until 2021.
Also 2021 was the 275th anniversary of the historic Battle of Culloden. This is one of the most significant events in Scotland's history. Instead of a newsletter, our secretary has prepared an informative article on Culloden as a way to enhance our Scottish heritage and make cultural connections for our Society. Check out the article.
2021 also happened to be the 250th anniversary of the death of Robert Burns, Scotland's most acclaimed and revered poet.
